2019 Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects, Season 8, “The Bells.”

Patrick studied painting and sculpture at Pitzer College where he got his B.A. He went on to earn his M.F.A. at the University of Georgia, Athens. He was worked as a lead animator on ABC’s One Saturday Morning line-up, heading the interstitial cartoon Tube Dwellers, before becoming lead previs artist on Disney’s The Wild.

Pat joined THE THIRD FLOOR in 2007 and is one of their longest standing artists. He helped the company evolve from a group of a dozen artists into the largest visualization company in the world. Coming from a background of making original animated shorts, Pat is a very strong generalist with strengths in animation, lighting, camera work & composition, as well as overall story flow.

Over the last decade with THE THIRD FLOOR, Pat has contributed to over two dozen movies as a previs artist, postvis artist, lead, previs co-supervisor and previs supervisor. He has spent a large portion of his time over the last four years in Westeros (aka. Belfast), as both a previs lead and previs supervisor on HBO’s Game of Thrones, leading the charge on such memorable sequences as Hardhome, Battle of the Bastards and the loot train attack in the BAFTA winning episode, Spoils of War.
