With over 55 million pre-registrations, Call of Duty: Mobile is now out in China! Developed by Tencent in a partnership with Activision, THE THIRD FLOOR Beijing team completed previs for the game trailer with a total length of 1 minute and 30 seconds and a final number of 50 shots, making this their first official project since opening!
As the first official project of TTFC, this is a process from 0 to 1, which is very meaningful to the entire team. Tencent has strict requirements for the duration of game trailers, and helping directors to maximize their creativity within a limited time was the biggest challenge for the entire team. Visualization Supervisor Martin Ma says, “The most challenging point is that the game trailer is different from the film project. The film project is more focused on narrative whereas the game trailer is more focused on the editing rhythm and shot design. We produced multiple versions for each shot in a short production period, ultimately meeting all the director’s creative needs.”
