Fueled by a passion for visual storytelling, Stewart Ash has experience in pre-visualization, digital cinematography and visual effects, whilst working on over 25 major feature films in which he has contributed to as an artist and Supervisor/Lead. His background began in Stop-motion film-making, but he quickly moved on to a successful career in visual effects for over 9 years (Double Negative), after which he joined the Third Floor London in 2011.

A strong diversity of skills has given Stewart the opportunity to take on numerous roles in Visual Effects, including pre-visual animation & cinematography, postvis, on set techvis, through to final character/creature animation.  This experience has given him a thorough understanding of the requirements needed from a production and the Director, and how best previs can help their vision.

His credits span numerous live action films, and he is very proud to have worked with Directors such as Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Inception) and Mathew Vaughn (Stardust, Kickass), as well as working closely with the VFX supervisor (Tim Burke) on Harry Potter and the Order Of the Phoenix / Half Blood Prince / Deathly Hallows, and more recently  Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them; using previs to help develop some of the many sequences.
