After a strain of Influenza kills most of the world’s population, the remaining survivors– including a superhuman with his own crew of crazed followers, clash in an attempt to establish their own ideologies and beliefs. THE THIRD FLOOR LA collaborated with VFX Supervisor Jake Braver and Director Vincenzo Natali to visualize ideas for selected scenes in this newest miniseries realization of Stephen King’s best-selling, post-apocalyptic epic.
A small artist team from THE THIRD FLOOR delivered a large scope of techvis and previs to the client, focusing work around helping develop climactic moments in the show’s limited series run.
“The sequences we worked on were wildly fun to help imagine in previs. Dramatic reveals, action pushing things to the brink… there were many big ideas to flesh out that our team was able to help visualize and test,” remarked Jason Thielen, LA Supervisor, THE THIRD FLOOR.
