THE THIRD FLOOR attended the 10th Annual Lumiere Awards, presented January 30th, by the Advanced Imaging Society. Congratulations to our many clients and colleagues, with special congratulations to Writer/Director Christopher McQuarrie for receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, also known as the Harry Lloyd Award. High-action clips of the Halo Jump and Helicopter Chase from Mission Impossible: Fallout gave the crowd a glimpse of his incredible filmmaking work.
Everyone was surprised, including McQuarrie, when Tom Cruise made an appearance on stage to dedicate the special award, only to be called back to the stage later to receive a second award together with McQuarrie for the “Best 3D Scene or Sequence of the Year.” We’re so honored to have produced previs with this team on the recent Mission Impossible films.
