Greg Rizzi’s career began in 2003 when he was hired as a previs artist for Star Wars Episode III. Along with his fellow Lucasfilm co-workers, he became one of the founding members of The Third Floor previs studio. After a few small projects, he departed previs to study character animation at Animation Mentor. Over the next two years, he worked as previs artist, animator, and layout artist for Halon, Electronic Arts, Reel Effects, and Lucasfilm Animation. In 2006, he was hired as a character animator at Blue Sky Studios in New York, where he worked for over seven years. In early 2014, he returned to the West Coast for a brief stint at Disney Feature Animation on Big Hero 6, before reuniting with his former Lucasfilm cohorts as the Head of Animation at The Third Floor. In addition to his decade plus long professional career, Greg has written and directed two of his own live-action short films and is currently in post-production on a third.
