The yellow-and-black Autobot takes center stage in the new movie Bumblebee (Paramount Pictures), prequel to the 2007 action motion picture Transformers. Previs Supervisor Patrick Smith leads THE THIRD FLOOR LA in visualizing story and action with the filmmakers for notable scenes such as Bumblebee in the kitchen as well as the opening and closing scenes in the film. Smith explains, “The visual storytelling was so central to this project and we enjoyed working with many so collaborators across the production to visualize creative ideas. We also worked across departments in developing techvis to help inform camera placements and rigging within the stage.”
